On 7th February, we had to take part in a Tag Rugby Tournament at THS on the astro-turf.  There were some players we knew and some we didn’t.  At first we were nervous, but as we got into the games, we got more confident.  Luckily we won but it was close!     We all had to take part because we were a small team.

Today we have battled our nerves competing in the Rotary Club Youth Speaks Competition.  We had to stand up and present a speech to a large audience of unknown faces and many teams competing.  We have to admit it was quite hard.  As we were the last team to compete, that meant we had to sit through all six speeches before our turn.  Obviously our nerves got the better of us, but we pushed through as a team.  When the awards were announced, our faces immediately lit up with joy, but it almost didn’t matter because we felt proud of ourselves anyway.
